Caspar Sonnet (b. 1976, Los Angeles, CA) has been composing and performing experimental and improvisational music since 1997. His current practice focuses on musique concrète, using field recordings, various instrumentation, and tape machines to sculpt, manipulate, and arrange sound. He is also the operator and curator of Andromache Records, an experimental noise label based in Portland, Oregon where he currently resides with his artist/wife Dehlia Ackley. He has collaborated with such names as Jeph Jerman, Erica Schreiner, Chris Cogburn, Gabie Strong, Zach Rowden, Henry Birdsey, and Tatsuya Nakatani among many others.
