Caspar Sonnet (b.1976 Los Angeles, CA) has been composing and performing experimental/improvisational music since 1997. Sonnet’s multi-instrumentalist abilities include: lap steel, voice, percussion, cello, keyboard, field recording and various tape machines. His interests are in acoustic phenomena, amplification, just intonation, feedback and improvisation. He is also the curator of Andromache Records and Discordance, a free improv/noise series featuring artists near and afar. He has collaborated with Jeph Jerman, Chris Cogburn, Zach Rowden, Henry Birdsey, Greg Kelly, Kozue Matsumoto, Doug Theriault, Gabie Strong, Loren Chasse, Shane Mcdonell, Cody Brant and Tatsuya Nakatani.
